  • Carrie to perform at 2015 CMT Awards on June 10th

    CMT, CMT Pure, and CMT Radio To Run Nominee Video Blocks and Performer Interviews Throughout The Day

    NASHVILLE – May 19, 2015 – CMT today announced Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum and Luke Bryan are the first set of highly anticipated performers set to take the stage at the 2015 “CMT Music Awards”. The star-studded lineup marks the loudest night in country music and will broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena onWednesday, June 10th at 8:00 PM ET/PT.

    Last week through an ambitious multiplatform rollout, CMT unveiled nominations for the awards, which includes more than 45 nominated artists/groups. This year, each performer scored multiple nods. Country superstar Carrie Underwood is the frontrunner with five awards nominations, including two for “Video of the Year,” two for “Female Video of the Year” and one for “Collaborative Video of the Year” for her duet with Miranda Lambert. Lady Antebellum and Kenny Chesney followed with an impressive four nominations each. Florida Georgia Line andJason Aldean earned a respective three nominations, while Keith Urban and Luke Bryan both scored two nods. Additional performers, presenters and host will be announced at a later date.

    To celebrate the upcoming performances, CMT will be airing nominee videos during morning music hours, while CMT Pure, CMT’s 24-hour music channel, will feature nomination blocks by category throughout the day. In addition, CMT Radio will feature performer interviews on both “CMT After Midnite” and “CMT Radio Live”.

    Fans can vote now via CMT.com through June 7 at 11:59 PM ET to determine the winners.  The six finalists for Video of the Year will be announced at the beginning of the live show and fans can then vote at CMT.com throughout the live telecast (ET/CT only) to determine the night’s big winner.

    NASHVILLE – May 13, 2015 – CMT today announced the nominations for the 2015 “CMT Music Awards,” the loudest night in country music, airing live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, June 10th at 8pm ET / 7pm CT. On the heels of winning last year’s coveted video of the year, country superstar Carrie Underwood is in contention once again leading the pack with five nominations including two for “Video of The Year” (“Something in The Water” and “Somethin’ Bad” with Miranda Lambert), two for “Female Video of the Year” (“Little Toy Guns” and “Something In The Water”), and “Collaborative Video of the Year,” (“Somethin’ Bad” with Miranda Lambert). Close behind are Lady Antebellum and Kenny Chesney, garnering four each. Voting begins now at CMT.com and continues until Monday, June 8th at 10am ET / 9am CT.

    CMT turned to a multiplatform rollout for today’s big announcement.  The nominees were revealed in a series of phases kicking off at the TODAY show with a performance by Lady Antebellum. The trio debuted their new single “Long Stretch of Love” and announced nominees for the following categories: “Male of the Year,” “Female Video of the Year,” and “Video of the Year”. Nominations continued to rollout on social media, with Luke Bryan and Carrie Underwood, announcing “Group Video of the Year” and “Breakthrough Video of the Year,” respectively, via their social media accounts. Nashville locals got into the action from hot spots around Music City to announce “Duo Video of the Year” and “Collaborative Video of the Year” and “Performance Video of the year,” via CMT’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts.

    Performers, presenters and this year’s host will be announced in the coming weeks.

    Tickets for the show will go on sale Saturday, May 16th at 11am CT at all Ticketmaster outlets and the Bridgestone Arena Box Office.

  • The 2015 Fan Club Party!

    As you’ve probably heard, Carrie will be playing 2 shows at The Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday, June 9th. If you do not already have tickets to the 7:00pm show, we have reserved a limited number of standing tickets on the main floor and balcony seats for Fan Club members (view the details here.)

    Following the 7:00pm show we will have the Official Fan Club Party backstage at The Opry in Studio A!

    There will be food and drink for you to enjoy with your fellow Fan Club members while you watch the 2nd Opry show that will be projected in Studio A just for you! Carrie will also be stopping by to say hello and to take a group picture that we will email to you all after the Party.
    Space is very limited, so be sure to RSVP for a chance to attend the Fan Club party by following the instructions on the event page.

    Please note that tickets to The Grand Ole Opry shows are not included when you RSVP to the Fan Club Party and must be purchased separately. Additionally, tickets to the 7pm Opry show are not required to attend the Fan Club Party and purchase does not improve your chances of winning an invitation to the party.

    “Something in the Water,” written by Carrie, Chris DeStefano, and Brett James, was the debut single off her Greatest Hits: Decade #1 which topped Billboard’s Airplay/sales/streaming-based Hot Country Songs Chart for seven weeks as well as Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart for 18 weeks. The song’s success surpasses her previous personal best set in 2006 with “Jesus, Take the Wheel.” The Platinum-certified song was also ranked #1 on Rolling Stone’s year-end social media readers’ poll of the “10 Best Country Songs of 2014.”

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Jan. 26, 2015 – Six-time Grammy Award-winner and multi-platinum recording artist Carrie Underwood returns to star in the special “Waiting All Day for a Super Bowl Fight” opening theme for NBC’s broadcast of Super Bowl XLIX on Feb. 1, 2015. Each week of the last two NFL seasons, Underwood’s performance of “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” has kicked off Sunday Night Football, primetime television’s No. 1 program.

    The opening theme for NBC’s coverage of Super Bowl XLIX will feature new elements, including lyrics featuring the AFC champion New England Patriots and NFC champion Seattle Seahawks, and a special set design.

    “I’m so honored to again be a part of the Super Bowl, this time joining NBC Sports in helping kick everything off! I can’t wait to watch the game!,” says Underwood.

    NBC will broadcast Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday, Feb. 1 from Glendale, Ariz. Coverage kicks off at Noon ET.

    The event was to thank America for the role it’s played in the AIDS fight. The world has reached the beginning of the end of AIDS epidemic with 13 million people having access to life-saving treatment compared to 300,000 ten years ago. Without the support of American leaders and citizens it would not have reached this point.

    U2’s Adam Clayton, The Edge, and Larry Mullen Jr. will be joined by Bruce Springsteen and Coldplay’s Chris Martin, who are also donating their time, and stepping in for Bono as he recovers from injuries sustained in a November bike accident.
