    I think that the most dangerous place one can be in is a place of apathy. Being apathetic about your friendships, relationships, schoolwork, work, God...none of it helps you progress as a person.

    Being in a state of apathy is like prison for your emotions. You know you want to change, but you can't. You don't feel like putting forth the effort for change...so you stay where you are. Twiddling your thumbs, wasting time.

    Don't hold your emotions and passions captive. Release it. After all, "this is our temporary home..."

    Sometimes everything around you seems to be falling apart.

    That's me. Right now. It has nothing with "this time of the year is just hectic syndrome"...it just is. It has been leading up to it all semester. It was bound to happen.

    I will be attending a funeral Tuesday of a dear loved one and be forced to face the one person on earth that I hold so much bitterness in my heart against. Not to mention it's smack dab in the middle of finals week. And the funeral is 5 hours away. (as if I'm not stressed out enough)

    But when my faith is fleeting, Carrie's words bring me back to what I already know deep down to my core: "Miracles still do happen if you believe."

    God is still good, despite and in spite of everything bad. HE IS FAITHFUL.

    So my last blog expressed my concern for the amount of participation in the shoe drive I'm doing....well, God sure does answer prayer. One of the local churches decided to help us and do a shoe drive among their congregation. They called me Friday and said they had an overflow of shoes in their foyer and asked if I could come pick some up.

    I drove up there Friday afternoon and picked up...you won't believe this number...betwen 500-600 pairs of shoes!!!!!!!!!

    AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    how crazy!? and there's still a week and a half left of collection. now we just have one teeny little problem. I have NO IDEA how we are gonna pay for shipping for these shoes...at all. If anyone has a few spare hundred bucks, please help us out! lol

  • Blessings In Disguise

    These last two weeks of school are surprisingly not going to be as bad as I thought. I'm fairly set I think. I am in charge of a shoe drive at my college and that's going fairly well. Not as many people have dropped off shoes as I had hoped but there's still two weeks left. The organization is called Soles4Souls--based out of Nashville. After you mail the shoes you collected to them, they send them overseas to people who don't have any! I heard about it because Kellie Pickler did it at her Madison Square Garden concert!

    Also, I got a PR position for a huge St. Jude's thing we're doing. That cause has won my heart over for sure. I'm glad I am doing things that are much bigger than my selfish desires. It really is a life changing experience.

    Also, you should check out Steve Azar's music. (I honestly never really have either, but I can win a free guitar for posting this...so, yeah) Maybe we will all like him! lol

    great too hear from you !!!!! yeah i am sure carrie will be going threw ok on second leg of the tour !!!!! so how is school !!!!! so what will you do for a job in sociology /public relations ?? !!!!!! the things i do for fun are movies,tv shows i like, history,eating really good food ,traveling,video games,staying in shape,countrymusic,and classic rock once in awhile . what do you like doing for fun ?? have a very merry christmas !!!!!!!

    i really liked your blog WOW GOD IS GREAT . sounds like God really answer that prayer big time . i am going too be helping the needy a church here feeds 150 familys in my hometown !!!!! but all the God stuff is important too me too !!!!! i can't wait too watch carrie's holiday show tonight !!!!! have a good tuesday !!!!!

    hahaha good ole carriefans.com!!! the first fan club before it became official over here! glad you joined and glad you 'creeped' over on my site lol! i love talking to the fellow okie fans!! i'm from piedmont...if you've ever heard of it. lol many have not. that's cool you have a lot of friends at UCO! i have some friends at OBU too! and yes...future carrie concert for sure! play on tour?! can't wait!! i hope she comes to the ford center rather than the bok center in tulsa. okc is much closer for me!!

    p.s. i suck at cooking too and i love the SOONERS!!!!!!!!
