• Nashville!!!

  What a week, topped off by meeting Carrie at the softball game. I just wish I could take a good picture with her....it's her fault, she's just too darn gorgeous! Anyway, I saw everything I had planned and much more, it's a shame I had to leave. I am going to live down there someday....it's just as I remembered from last year, beautiful and it's my kind of town. I want to go back in the fall if for no other reason just to be there. It really feels like my home, maybe it's the people or the atmosphere...whatever it is it's great and I want to be there as much as possible.

• It's Almost Here

  I can't believe that the FC party is only a few weeks away. It doesn't seem that long ago that I was in Nashville taking in the sights. I really need to get away from my family for awhile and if it weren't for my dogs I wouldn't leave my beloved Nashville. Everything is so nice down there, including the people.....it doesn't even feel like you're a tourist. Everyone treats you like you belong. I can't wait to get on the road again.

• WOO HOO!!

  Finally, after 4 weeks of waiting I'm getting my car. It seems like I've been driving a rental forever. It's a used car I'm getting but it's still a 2006 and it looks like it's been well cared for. The deciding factor in my decision was that it's the same color as Carrie's bus!! Gee, who would've thought that would be my deciding factor...LOL! Anyway, for whatever reason I survived that accident I know there is a purpose and I plan on making a better life from this day forward.

• My Night In Syracuse

  I arrived in Syracuse about 2pm and I noticed that there were a few people gathering on the sidewalk. So, I parked my car and went over to see what was up. They were fellow fan club members so I introduced myself and we got to talking. The crowd eventually swelled to close to maybe 60 or so by the time Carrie showed up, we were told that she would be there by 4pm. I kept watch up the street and I was the first to spot the bus as it made it's way down the street. The bus pulled in next to where we were standing and we all wondered if Carrie was watching us. The first passenger out of the bus was Ace Underwood, who drew a round of applause as he proceeded to do his business on the streets of Syracuse. Before going back on the bus he turned his head and looked at us like we were crazy...it was so cute. A few hours later we saw our girl as she emerged from the bus around 6pm looking absolutely beautiful as ever. She came over to sign stuff for us. She signed my Some Hearts CD and I said hello to her, she is so nice and polite and I think perhaps she recognized me from earlier concerts. Anyway, after my autograph I went inside and took my seat. LBT opened the show and played for about an hour, they are amazing and it was a super way to prepare for Carrie. Once Carrie took the stage I spent the entire show along the barrier at the top of the catwalk, taking pictures and getting handshakes from my girl. At the end of the show she looked directly at me and gave me a wave, I brushed off my shyness to give her a smile as she turned to head off stage. I quickly made my way out of the arena in hopes of her coming back out to meet us. But the driver started the bus and pulled away, I watched as the bus disappeared into the night not realizing that I would see the bus again. I walked back to my car and found I81 and headed home. I had my car inspected about a month ago and I expressed a concern regarding a noise in my steering column. I was told everything had checked out and that I could feel safe making my trip. Unfortunately, I lost control of my ability to steer two miles from my home. It was quite a violent collision with a telephone pole, but as I grabbed the wheel with both hands trying to desperately avoid the pole I was only able to avoid the impact on my side of the car. I escaped the accident with just some minor soreness, but the amazing thing was that the radio station I was listening to had just started playing "Jesus Take The Wheel" seconds before the accident. Whether it was that song that saved my life I'll never know but even as I stood along the road still shaken from what had happened I couldn't help but smile at the memories of my concert. The car will be fixed and I have dedicated myself to living my life for my dearest Carrie.
