  • I'm a runner

    I love working out and exercising which makes people ask the obvious question of: "what do you do when you work out" and i say "i run" and then so many people say "ohhhh--you're a runner?" So it got me thinking.. when i'm at the gym, i spend about 98% of the time running.. but why--

    I run because i get taken away from everything. I have these amazing (and expensive!) headphones that block out all the outside noise and blast music straight into my head. No room for anything else but the song. No room for a self proclaimed over-analyzer's thoughts. I used to run away from my problems... but, now i run toward my goals and my future. I could only run away from things for so long until I couldnt run anymore and then those situations caught up to me. And how lucky am i to have something to run toward because it makes everything worth it... its just that simple. Besides, theres no better feeling of satisfaction than after a good run.. I feel like i'm on top of the world.

    so yes-- i am a runner.

    Heck yes i am.

    I don't ever doubt that my life has a purpose... I don't ever doubt that I can offer something to this world that no one else can... But, what the scary part about this for me is what sacrifices and pain I'll have to go through to be that person who is capable of making a difference.. Because I know the person I am now is not it... and I've gone through enough. But I'll keep on living for every moment because I have hope for my life and hope for my future and most importantly, that God has it all under control... because I know I sure don't.

    i'm 17 :) i think you missed my birthday which saddens me...but it's okay! now... i miss you!!! and it seems like i never get to talk to you...i know you called the other day but i was a work so fml. but i'm going to try to call you sometime because i do believe we need to catch up!!! i'm not sure when you're getting sent out because i can't remember (go figure) but i want to talk to you before you do.
