  • No Longer Unemployed!

    I just want to give a big "Thank You" to everyone who has been praying for me and offering words of encouragement... you guys are the best!!!

    As many of you know, I was fired go from my employer of nearly 19 years (Verizon) back on March 4th... it turned out to be a TOTAL blessing as I was very stressed from the job to the point where it really was causing me lots of problems in pretty much every area of my life...

    The past 2 1/2 months have been AMAZING! For the first time in years, I'm sleeping like a normal person. I also haven't had a headache since I got let go... I was getting several headaches every week thanks to the stress I dealt with on a near constant basis. The best part though is that the time away has allowed me to spend more time doing the things I love - spending time with family & friends, working out and doing pilates, along with going to church and fellowshiping with other Christians... I've grown SO much closer to God since I got let go... I'm praying and reading so much more now and am really feeling God work in my heart to purify it... Life has been INCREDIBLE since I got fired!

    Out of the blue on Thursday I got a call about a position I'd applied for at BofA through an agency a couple of weeks earlier. Within 3 hours I was hired! The job is exactly what I've been looking and praying for... I really wanted something close to home (this job is a mile away - the old one was 22 miles away). There is no mandatory overtime during the week (the old job required an average of 5 hours of Mon-Fri overtime every week). Finally, I wanted something with early hours so I could continue to go to school and also my pilates sessions at the studio... well, my shift will be 7:30-4:15 Monday through Friday... the pay is also not bad at all!

    I was never worried about finding another job... As I told a good friend a couple of weeks ago when I interviewed for a position at another company (and didn't get or end up wanting the job), it will happen in God's timing... I know He's going to take care of me... and He sure did!

    And by the way, I start next Monday!
