• Guess who's going to Nashville...

  Summer is officially here...now that my board exam is done with (well at least until I find out the results)!!! And I thought the SAT's were hard...ughh. They put so much legal garbage on this test. Maybe if they had things applicable to what we do on the test....they wouldn't need us to know so much legal junk!! Anyway...enough about that.

  I made a decision...and I am happy to say I am headed out to Nashville for the next 2 years. I've accepted a graduate assistant position as an athletic trainer at Belmont. So I'll be working during the day (with cross country and track primarily), and going to class at night a couple nights a week. And they'll pay for my master's. Decent deal I think ;) Now I just have to go out there and look for an apartment - unless of course Carrie or any other generous locals want to put me up? No....worth a shot! =P

  And speaking of a certain someone.....Reading tomorrow!! Very excited! Senior year of college kept me entirely too pre-occupied...shockingly this will be the first time I'm catching the solo show. I know, I'm ashamed. I am also very excited to get to catch up with some great people as well - miss my Carrie friends!! Looking forward to an incredible time as always! Hope to see some of you there! :)

• I'm a college alum...ew

  Funny that my last blog and this blog are going to coincide a little...even though it's been 4 months. I have been severely slacking on all things Carrie & Carrie fans...my apologies. But I am proud, and maybe a little disturbed, to say that I graduated college last weekend.

  It's all so surreal. A few short weeks ago I turned 22, finished up my last week of classes, made it through a couple finals and I was left with nothing to do but enjoy the company of those around me while inducing cirrhosis of the liver for an entire week. Senior week was so much fun....but flew by waay too fast. Before I knew it, Saturday rolled around - I slipped on my Harry Potter cloak (those things are really just so hideous), donned my little hat, perfected the cheesy smile and was moving my tassle as I completed another chapter of life.

  Now I've got a degree (ok, it's in the mail), a decision to make which could potentially lead me out to Nashville next fall, and a certification test in 2 weeks....needless to say I'm a bit overwhelmed!!!

  I just want to congratulate all the graduates - kindergarten, high school, college - whatever. It's a wonderful, yet scary and confusing time in life. It's funy how you can look forward to something, yet get a little queasy while doing so.

  Carrie - your words have never seemed more true than they do for me at this moment. Whatever is up next for me, and for everyone, I hope it brings much happiness and success!!! Congrats graduates...and hello to everyone - I hope you all are well!! Sorry I've been neglecting my Carrie family...silly me, priorities!! =P

• Can I get a Woot Woot - York breakdown

  Way to end the tour on a high note.

  There have been a bunch of reviews out already obvi, so if you could care less what i have to say about it...skip down to my pics - ha.

  I loved everything about the show - the volume of the crowd - & the fact that my section liked to stand - thank god! the energy of Carrie & the band, her chattiness (did i just make up a word?), the vocals were hit dead on...umm, "go your own way" ...DONE!

  I'll just try and hit what i thought were the highlights, for me at least. Not that she's ever NOT cute...but i feel the need to make mention of just how cute she was last night the whole show:

  • lots of love from Carrie & the band tonight...Carrie even waved - much better than her usual ignoring our presence...strength in numbers i guess :P

  • Carrie running around barefoot! Too cute. "Where are my shoes...Jonathon has them. I guess Jonathon likes 6 inch Steve Maddens"

  • At one point (don't remember if it was the encore or not) she stopped to ask the band if they were ready, and then turned to us and pointed out and went "are YOUU ready"

  • After introducing Nikki...the very random & gangsta "Can i get a woot woot?" When she heard the response from the crowd & did a little shocked laugh & said wow, i can't believe you guys did it. You know how people always make fun of those entertainers that do that...always wanted to do it. Haha. And then she tells us she's strange and laughs at herself.

  • BHC...when she goes over to Ed during the 2nd verse to play...she actually sang "ohh but Ed don't knowww" before she pushed him. Cute

  • When Ash was standing right in front of us playing his fiddle for ISBY i think, we went nuts for him...Carrie goes "Ashley's got himself a fan club"

  Then she intro'd Ash, Ed, Shawn, & Mark...us rowdy girls down front who love the band as much as Carrie gave them a nice little ovation & Carrie felt the need to tell us sorry ladies, they're married for Ash, Ed & Shawn. But when she got to Mark, she goes HE'S SINGLE LADIES!! Haha

  • when she snuck up on Ed while he was playing guitar at one pt & just asked him how he was doing - haha

  • Still can't get over so small...if that's a preview of what's to come on the new album......i'll take 6. I just wish Carrie would OPEN her eyes when she sings those powerful ballads ;) It's ok - the band saw the signs!

  • "Go Your Own Way" ...really...need i say more!!! I <3 rocker chick Carrie...i really do! I was in shock upon hearing the 1st few chords of the 1st encore song...but immediately knew what it was and turned to tell a confused Heather that she was actually singing GYOW! SOOO much fun - i think the crowd gave a really great response too. She and the band were bouncing around & rockin' out. Umm...& the electric guitar. Goodnight all. Loved when Ed and her went at it & he tried to egg her on & she looked a little nervous - you were freakin awesome Carrie...just do it!

  • IAICA...when the band decided to sneak attack Carrie..."what are you guys doing!" And they just danced around with her singing & she yelled that it was the last show. And she's singing I ain't in checotah & pointed the mic toward a nearby Ed for him to sing "anymore"

  • Got Swag?? Amy fanclub...hahahaha....too much!!! I may have to post a pic from the signing ;) Amy is absolutely incredible though & I am really gonna miss her...though i wish her all the best with what she's gonna do. Everybody loves the tshirt girl :P

  • opening act (lady antebellum)...must give them their props. Talented little bunch. And soo friendly - they signed all the way up until AFTER the show. And did not leave until every person on line had not only gotten an autograph & pic...but shook their hands and actually introduced themselves & whatnot. Classy - smart, to promote themselves...but classy i thought. Gave them their props & snapped a pic w/them as well since we were still hanging around - very nice people. Wish them all the best.

  • Had the privelege of chatting with Shawn for quite some time before the show...SUCH a sweetheart. Happy to hear that the group (the band that is) will be sticking around, all of them.

  • Also got to see Nikki briefly after the show. Hugs & hellos. I know i say it all the time...but Carrie really has such an amazing group around her. Her band is made up of such quality singers & musicians...but even more, they have the greatest personalities...and that's what makes them stand out above the rest.

  • Naturally...it's always a pleasure to hang w/other CFers. Esp. partying at the last show. ANd yes...what happens in any city a Carrie concert is in (be it Allentown or York)..stays in that city ;)

  Club York - i think a good time was had by all! Ahh, funny thing - Don reminded me, the dj of the club in our hotel actually happened to not only be at the concert...but had seats directly behind Heather & I. I asked if we annoyed the crap out of her all night - but she said that we were fun! I still always love hearing that - haha.

• Teeth, tests....yet still in a good mood

  First...Happy Birthday Jess!!! Hope you have a great one!

  After a morning of drs. appts...it looks like the wisdom teeth need to come out & I'm gonna be sent for an ultrasound to check & see if my stomach issues have been due to another cyst. But the teeth will have to be put off for as long as i can deal (or as long as the diesel bottle of naproxen the dentist gave me lasts) bc of school & football - could be as long as Thanksgiving or Christmas even. Blahh...why do I have the face of a 16 year old (the drs. guess at my age) & the body of a 60 year old.

  But still....York tomorrow!!! Wooohooo! I'm headed out in the morning so i can relax & hang, not have to worry about rushing. And i hear there will be beer waiting for me in the tub -- always good times ;)
