10/02/08 0 CommentsCarrie and Brad hosting the CMA's...
The first thing I did today when I got back to my hotel was fire up the laptop so I could see the big news. I am sure that I was the last to know, but it was still exciting to hear that Carrie will be hosting the CMA's with Brad this year. I am very excited for Carrie, she seemed reallly excited herself when she blogged yesterday. Unfortunately, she didn't have time to blog today, to talk a bit more about it. I am sure she'll blog in the next few days. I think I was selfishly hoping for something more to do with her career, like a concert dvd, TV special, just something that would bring Carrie's beautiful voice to a bigger audience, but I realize it is a real honor for Carrie to be asked to host the CMA's. I am anxious to see what Carrie and Brad have in store for us. I hope that even though Carrie has a busy schedule she is still able to be involved in determining what they do. This is a great chance for Carrie to show a large TV audience even more of her wonderful personality. I think we'll be seeing this look on Carrie's face a few times during the show, she is always smiling when she is around Brad!!!
Hopefully Carrie will be singing another #1 song at the awards. I am concerned about slow rise of JAD. There are some big songs coming up behind her, I hope that we can get this one to #1 before they pass Carrie. I don't want a ballad to be the first of her songs not to go to the top of the charts. I think it would discourage Carrie and her team from releasing more ballads in the future. I personally think the Ballads are where Carrie shines brightest!!!
I found myself on the Champs Elyses today so I snapped this picture...
I am going to spend this weekend at the Louvre, so hopefully I'll get a couple of nice pictures.

I just read Carrie's post and she sounds so excited. Unfortunately, I won't be any where near a computer when the announcement is made. I am loving Paris, but sometimes I feel a loooong way from home. Another early morning for me today. I have meetings all day today, so I will be hearing about Carrie's news later than most. I am really looking forward to reading Carrie's next blog, as she tells us her feelings about the big news.

Listening to Carrie at the top of the Eiffel Tower!!! I've been in Paris for a few days now and last night was the first chance I had to see some of the city. I took the train down to the Eiffel Tower and I took Carrie along with me, well my Ipod full of Carrie music. Paris is a wonderfully pretty city, especially at night. This first picture is the view as soon as you come out of the train station. The train literally takes you to the Tower.

I have spent the last couple of days making sure that I have everything packed and ready for my flight tomorrow. It's rare that I pack for a trip that is going to last 2 months, so I have been stressing that I am going to forget something that I will really need. I am really looking forward to the trip, but in the back of my mind I am bummed that I am going to be missing out on all of the upcoming fall Carnival Ride concerts. I can't wait to find out what the new stage looks like, as well as the new set list. I really like the new Little Big Town single, so I am sure they will be great on the road with Carrie.
I uploaded some pictures from Carrie's CT concert back in February. I haven't uploaded many pictures to the FC site, I am not sure if anyone looks at them. But I figured I blog here and I don't think anyone reads these either. I am thinking that while I am away I will go through my concert pictures from this year and upload them. As I am looking through the pictures trying to decide which ones to upload, it brings back great memories. Speaking of pictures here are a couple from Carries concert at the Stagecoach Festival this year.
