On The Storyteller Tour Underwood will meet soldiers and their families in a new initiative with Carnival Cruise Line and Operation Homefront, a national non-profit that builds strong, stable, and secure military families. The year-long Honor. Family. Fun. program will help raise funds for Operation Homefront. Videos highlighting the meet & greets and the families’ individual stories will be featured on carnival.com/HonorFamilyFun.

After the tour’s first week, Underwood will continue her momentum from an impressive 2015, which closed with a live performance in Times Square on New Year’s Eve garnering 28 million viewers.  She will perform a collaboration with Sam Hunt at the 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards®, where the seven-time GRAMMY winner is nominated this year for “Little Toy Guns” in the Best Country Solo Performance category. Why I would be a great candidate to be a part of the group of moderators for CarrieUnderwood.fm message boards for 2016!  Let me first off say that Carrie has impacted my life so much over the years. Her music has helped and inspired me to be a better person. I honestly can say that being a moderator would be a chance to give back to a person and a group of fans that has given so much to me. It would be a dream come true.

Over the years that I have been a fan club member, I have connected and spoken to so many Carrie Underwood fans. Concerts, camp outs and connections have been made.  From camp outs at the Opry, where we played music, football and even shared meet and greet stories to waiting on social media for special news for the upcoming year!  #StoryTellerTour. We are all bonded in our love for music and give thanks to Carrie for being an inspiration to us all.

 2016 is going to be a world win of a year for our fan club, and I believe that fans need moderators who are able to be very active on the message boards as well as social media. They need to get the information that they know out to others and get others excited 🙂 I know that I can do this job. I have been a fan club member for 9 years and have attended many concerts, Opry shows and fan club parties so I am very knowledgeable to help answer others questions. From tickets questions to meet and great questions, I have had them all.  And with the help of previous moderators, learned the answers or where to obtain the answer. I also want to assure you that if I don’t know the answer I will do my best to find an answer in a timely manner.

Another reason I think I would be a good moderator is because I have a very positive attitude and when dealing with others I like to think that my positivity rubs off on others. Just like Carrie 🙂 It goes without saying that we as fan club members are here because we are connected to the amazing music Carrie makes and her inspiring personality. Moderators also need to give that positivity to others. Not just a no answer but suggestions as well. This is what makes CarrieUnderwood.fm message boards so unique. Fans helping fans 🙂

First off I just had another baby so this would definitely give me something to do while she’s sleeping and the kids are in school. I’m a huge Carrie Underwood fan and I would love to be part of her team and help her run her board. I’d help get more people to join, I’d have lots of conversations with people, help them with anything Carrie related or even problems of their own. Not everyone has a life outside of the internet some people are shy, or don’t have enough confidence to talk to people in person so they come online on this message board and this is their way of communicating with people. I want everyone to feel like they have a friend and someone they can count on. I’d do everything in my power to help this site and make people feel at home. I know so much about Carrie and what a great person she is and that makes me want to be part of this amazing journey as part of her team!

I have had the wonderful opportunity to be a moderator on the site and would love to continue in this position by helping the members, keeping the boards a family friendly place and a place that Carrie herself can be proud to call her home. With the amount of experience that I’ve gotten from my time as a moderator, I feel that I would also be an asset to the new team and would be able to guide them through the ins and outs of the message boards and other portions of the site. I’ve always been a team player, a fair moderator who treats everyone equally and with respect. One who is always willing to listen to members opinions and concerns and tried to make all of my decisions based on what was best for the the entire fan club. I am applying for consideration as a moderator on the Official Carrie Underwood Fan Club. I’ve been a fan of Carrie’s since her American Idol days and her fan club was the first I ever joined. I was drawn to her shy, humble, All-American, small-town girl persona and her amazing voice.  I have been an active member since the fan clubs inception, maintaining some of the requesting tools, voting for, streaming and requesting Carrie’s music on a regular basis as well as helping members whenever I can. I appreciate all she has done for us and the many special events made available to us through the fan club. I value the many people I’ve met and friends I’ve made from throughout the country because of my association with Carrie’s fan club.

I have been fortunate to attend numerous Carrie concerts over these last 10 years and nothing gives me more pleasure than taking someone to a her concert who has not seen her perform live. From my granddaughters teen friends to my daughters, my brothers, nieces, nephews and friends; Carrie the person and performer has left a lasting impression on all of them and the memories are priceless. 

I have previous moderator experience so am well aware of the importance of working as a team, the time commitment required of being a moderator, and following through with that commitment so as to not put an extra burden on other members of the team. I am retired so have a very flexible schedule which would allow me adequate time to monitor the site on a daily basis.

Although the fan club participation has waned since Carrie has expanded her social media network, hopefully with the upcoming Storyteller Tour people will be drawn back to the fan club. That in the future, ways can be found to encourage more participation after the tour and in between albums.

I am applying for the position as moderator of the Carrie Underwood Fan Club.  I have been a devoted member since its inception.  I have been actively involved in all aspects of Carrie’s fan club since the day it began.  For years I have posted & maintained the weekly GAC & CMT voting threads as well as the Media Archive threads in the News Forum for Carrie’s last 4 albums.  I have played a very supportive role for many years and would like to take a leading role in helping to maintain a community that supports Carrie and provides a family atmosphere and fun for its members.

I have traveled to many Carrie concerts since her career began.  It has been awesome watching Carrie grow into the amazing artist she is today.  I am so excited for the Storyteller Tour and can’t wait to do my part to help this album achieve all the success that befits Carrie and her amazing talent.

As a previous moderator I know that we must devote a lot of time and passion to the fan club and I am prepared to do that.  I have a flexible schedule so I will be able to monitor Carrie’s site multiple times during the day.  I have a great rapport with my fellow fan club members and have assisted them on many occasions.  Ensuring that this fan club is a safe, nurturing and fun place for Carrie and her fans is a priority.  I think now, with Carrie’s upcoming Storyteller Tour, it is crucial to have a strong moderating team that will unite and inspire the members of this fan club.  I am committed to making this fan club a place filled with all good things for Carrie and her fans.

First and foremost, I’m a huge supporter of Carrie and would love to get a chance to do something to continue my support. As of of 2 main outgoing moderators, I feel that I can be helpful in showing a new group of other mods how to work on the message board. I run the largest fan Twitter for Carrie also and devote a lot of time to that, so I already know how to be able to set aside time, promote and work with fans to answer questions and help them out. I have experience also in being mods on message boards. I’ve run a few on an off over the years. Experience aside, I think the main thing that’s important when being a mod on Carrie’s fan club is just having a genuine love for Carrie and wanting the best possible experience for her AND fans when they visit. The mods on the forum represent her and they should be people who you can come to that will answer questions and feel comfortable with. I know a lot of fans from the fan Twitter, that ask me questions about the FC there as well and most know and would trust me to help run the board again. We’re all here for one reason and that’s to support Carrie in the best way possible, and by being good leaders on and off the message boards. I would work hard to to help members and keep things running smoothly and keep this  place enjoyable for Carrie when she visits as well. We’re a huge family in the FC, and this is our place to feel like one together. I am very thankful for the fan club as its brought me some of my best friends through the love of Carrie and her music. I would consider it an honor to continue making this forum an awesome place to hang out.

10 semifinalists will be selected by the Official Carrie Underwood Fan Club Team. The 10 contest entries chosen will be displayed on the Fan Club website where YOU & the rest of the Fan Club community will vote for this year’s new group of moderators.

Voting polls close: Friday Jan. 29, 2016

5 winners will be announced.

The selected Fan Club members will receive moderator privileges to help watch over the message boards for an approximate 12 month period – subject to the winner signing a standard Moderator Agreement.
