Carrie Underwood Expands “The Storyteller Tour” With Additional International Shows

North American Arena Tour Launches in January

The 2016 tour is in support of Carrie’s now Gold-certified Storyteller album, which made a historic debut in October when she became the only artist in the chart’s 51-year history to have each of her first six albums to enter the chart at #1.

The North American tour, promoted by AEG Live, will include special guests Easton Corbin and The Swon Brothers. Tickets are available now at www.aeglive.com

Each of Carrie’s three previous headline arena tours, 2008’s Carnival Ride Tour, the Play On Tour in 2010, and 2012-2013’s Blown Away Tour played for over one million fans. When the Blown Away Tour wrapped in 2013, Carrie had performed 112 shows in 110 cities across three continents and six countries, including sold-out shows at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall, and two nights at the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia.

Carrie Underwood Earns a GRAMMY® Nomination as Storyteller Goes Gold and Returns to #1!

Following the success of Storyteller’s first single, the chart-topping “Smoke Break,” Underwood is new on the airwaves with her co-written “Heartbeat,” a song that All Access lauds as “sexy and beautiful and classy and raw,” while Billboard simply calls it “the country love ballad of our dreams.” The song’s gorgeous new Randee St. Nicholas-directed music video can be seen online here: http://smarturl.it/heartbeatmv.

On a separate GRAMMY note, this past Sunday, Carrie was among the stars performing songs made famous by Frank Sinatra as part of the CBS airing of Sinatra 100 – An All-Star GRAMMY Concert.  The event honored Sinatra’s remarkable legacy in celebration of the upcoming occasion of what would have been his 100th birthday.  For the show, Underwood performed “Someone to Watch over Me” and joined Zac Brown and Seth MacFarlane for a medley of “Come Fly with Me,” “Bewitched,” “Stars Fell on Alabama,” and “Learning The Blues.”

Fans can also be watching for the seven-time GRAMMY® winner as part of the December 6 broadcast of Sinatra 100 – An All-Star GRAMMY Concert.  Presented by The Recording Academy®, AEG Ehrlich Ventures, and CBS, the special honors the remarkable legacy of the legendary Frank Sinatra by celebrating his 100th birthday with performances of songs that he made famous.  Also featuring Tony Bennett, Garth Brooks, Zac Brown, Harry Connick, Jr., Celine Dion, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, John Legend, Adam Levine, and Usher among the participating artists, the concert taped on Wednesdayat Wynn Las Vegas Encore Theatre and airs this Sunday from 9-11 PM ET/PT, on CBS, in HDTV and 5.1 surround sound.

Carrie Underwood’s “Heartbeat,” on the eve of its music video debut, officially impacts country radio today as the week’s most-added new single at Mediabase and tallies 65 stations on board across the Billboard and CountryAircheck reporting panels. Co-written by Underwood, Ashley Gorley and Zach Crowell, and produced by Crowell, “Heartbeat” has been touted by Rolling Stone as “head-turningly sexy,” while SPIN calls it “Rhythm & Backwoods…a magnificent, lovestruck refrain…built for lofting lighters….”

On Sunday, November 29th, the 19 Recordings/Arista Nashville entertainer performed “Heartbeat” on X Factor in the United Kingdom, with a repeat airing tonight in the United States on AXS TV. A week ago, Underwood made her national TV performance debut of “Heartbeat” on ABC’s American Music Awards, during which she was honored with her ninth AMA win, 2015 Favorite Female Artist – Country.

Described by The Guardian as “refreshingly smart and bold,” “Smoke Break,” was produced by Jay Joyce and written by Carrie Underwood, Hillary Lindsey, and Chris DeStefano, and has become an anthem for those who need an escape every now and then from the challenges of daily life. When Storyteller debuted at #1, the 19 Recordings/Arista Nashville entertainer made history being the first artist to have all six of her first albums debut at the top of the Billboard Country Albums Chart. Of Underwood’s 22 #1 hits, “Smoke Break” is her 12th co-write.

With last night’s win for Favorite Female Artist – Country, Carrie Underwood increases her total AMA award wins to nine. Her Some Hearts, Carnival Ride, Play On, and Blown Away albums all have been honored with American Music Awards for Favorite Country Album.
